Four Taylor Countians receive cycle instructor certificates

2013-04-26 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Donetta Tungate. Four local Taylor Countians received their "League Cycling Instructor Certification" provided by the American League of Bicyclist on April 20, 2013. The training was funded through the Paula Nye Memorial Education Grant for Bicyclist and Pedestrian Safety. The grants are funded solely by citizen contributions made by purchasing Kentucky's "Share the Road" specialty license plates. The Campbellsville Trail Town Task Force received a Paula Nye Memorial Education Grant in February, 2013, for $11,200.00 to assist in community bike education and working on trail signage. Seven persons completed the Bike Safety 101 course in the fall. More information on the Paula Nye Memorial Bicyclist and Pedestrian Education Grant can be found on Kygov/bikewalk . Participants are, from left, Andy Warren (City Police), Brandon Wilson (City Police), Jim Moore, Campbellsville University and Tim Ramsey, Extreme Fitness. Donetta Tungate
