Maury Lewis: Don't give up on beauty. It's there

2013-04-21 - Beautiful Joppa, Adair Co., KY - Photo by Maury Lewis. This is what I saw when I looked out my kitchen window this morning. It didn't look so beautiful when we moved here over seven years ago. All of this area under these trees was a dumping area for all kind of things. Wagon wheel, parts of tractors, horse shoes and lots and lots of wire some still on fence post. We brought in 6 or 7 loads of dirt and 20 something pickup truck loads of wood mulch and several trailer loads of wood mulch with lots of soil amendments and help from a couple of good friends. This is a picture to encourage Those who are trying to clean out places on their property like we had. Don't give up; beauty is there. It took seven years for it to come to pass but I could see it before I ever started on it. - Maury Lewis
