Columbia Recycling: On the job on Saturday

2013-04-20 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
The City of Columbia's Recycling Department Supervisor, Kenneth Dulin was on the job on his own on Saturday, April 20, 2013, handing out recycling totes and making pickups. He's still asking for new pickups. "We've really had a lot of calls in the last two weeks," he said, "that's great and it's no problem - we can handle a lot more pickups," he said. He asked that anyone wanting to get started recycling should call him at 270-250-1431. "I'll be glad to talk to any resident of the city about how easy it is to recycle," he said. Recycling enthusiasts are hoping enough people recycle to eliminate the need for a Garbage Rate Increase.
