Shootout in the Annex Basement

2013-04-18 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. To the delight of the oilmen Discovery Channel Videographer John Kellernan and Adair Progress Editor Wes Feese had a "shootout." Part of the scene may be used in a future Backyard Oil promotion, part of it may be coming at an Adair Progress newsstand today or soon. It was part of the Proclamation signing event Tuesday, April 16, 2013, for "Wildcat Drilling Week," the week of April 22, 2013. At the table, front row, are Travis Coomer shaking hands with CJE Ann Melton a la United We Stand, Divided We Fall, like those two fellows on the State Seal, and at right, Jimmy Reliford, an acting star of Backyard Oil. In the back row, some more real oilmen, Sammy Taylor, Mitchell Coomer, Joe Collins, and oilman/Columbia accommodations magnate John Rascal Haskell.
