Scenic Green County, KY: Greensburg is Green

2013-04-12 - Greensburg, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. GREENSBURG IS GREEN: Even near the bottom of Buckner Hill, it's a bit dizzying on W Columbia, Avenue, looking toward the stop light at W. Columbia Avenue and South Main - the main road to Columbia, or Edmonton/Glasgow. Greensburg is at its springtime best. Larry Smith, the WAVE 92.7 FM, said that he plans to take a wide angle lens over to his hometown and get some pictures from North Main Street looking south, his favorite scene. He said that the tree plantings - a long row of Bradford Pear trees now in bloom, were the idea of the late Sam Moore and others. "I picked up a lot of pointers from Stan McKinney on photography yesterday at the CU Media Appreciation luncheon on taking photos which will really help me," he said. "Stan is one of the great photographers," Smith said. Smith has promised to share the pictures on CM. He's telling listeners that it's a beautiful day today, to enjoy it, and listen to 92.7 the WAVE.
