Currently the only electric vehicle in the Adair County School District fleet, used by the Maintenance Department, above with Ricky Bault, Supervisor of Maintenance driving, heads for home port, the "350 Building," or Maintenance Building, at 350 Gen. John Adair Drive. In the not too distant future, even some commuters from nearby may be able to access the campus as well. The big numbers on the building were made students of Barney Taylor at the Lake Cumberland Area Technology Center and are being added as funds are available. In the future, a street sign for this intersection will be added, and long range plans call for street level signage, with the street number again most prominently display in the graphics and visible to traffic in both directions will be added. "We'll be planning that starting first with 911 Mapping and Addressing, first responders, and our maintenance department, professional drivers, and media people first," Superintendent Allen Reed said, "getting the function and safety concerns right first, then we'll work with graphic artists and landscape architects to make the signage aesthetically pleasing."
