Southville, KY - Utterly charming cottage

2013-03-24 - Southville, South of Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Every time we pass through the central business district of Southville, KY on the way to see or from seeing some very special Shelby Countians, Linda wants to stop, buy, and carry this utterly charming cottage back to Columbia or at least get permission to replicate many times on our 1 acre lot out in the countryside, almost three blocks from the Adair County Courthouse - for that matter, she thinks we need a whole clone of the community, one of Kentucky's most endearing. The cottage is on Mt. Eden Road/KY 53, just north of Carriss's Grocery at the NW corner of Southville Pike/KY 44 and Mt. Eden Pike. - Ed Waggener Note: The very observant Ann Curtis noticed that this little house has the very distinctive look of a toll house, and thinks that a replica would be an excellent one for our granddaughters to have when they visit Columbia.
