Sunday afternoon nap. These two vultures seem to be very much asleep in a tree on the Orse and B. B. Brockman farm on the Sulpher Springs Road in Adair County.There are two types of vultures around here, black vultures, and these fellows - turkey vultures, which most folks seem to favor. Turkey vultures have the red heads. Black vultures have black, Darth Vader heads and are not as patient for death to occur to begin their meals as turkey vultures are. - Photo taken by George Rice, Sunday afternoon, February 17, 2013.
