New Book about Adair Co., KY: Death Comes Calling 2013-02-17 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. We just received a review copy of Jim Garner's new book, "Death Comes Calling." It's a fact packed, concise work and easy to read, covering the period with the lineage of the two funeral homes currently in Adair County. It's a must read not only for those in the business, but also for those interested in the reasons why their families historically have preferred one undertaker over another.
