New council members get orientation

2012-12-23 - City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Columbia Mayor Mark D. Harris, the man in the white shirt, took a little time "after school" to orient the two "new ones" on how city government works these days after the swearing in ceremony Monday afternoon December 17, 2012. In blue, from left, center, are new councillors Charles Grimsley, and Dr. Ronald P. Rogers; on the far left, is City Clerk Sonya Roy. Actually, both Grimsley and Rogers are veteran council members; both are returning to the Council after shorter, for Grimsley, and longer, for Dr. Rogers, hiatuses. Also sworn in on Monday were Craig Dean, Robert Flowers, Linda Waggener and June Parson. Today is Dr. Rogers birthday.
