Scenic Metcalfe Co., KY: The Courthouse at Christmas time

2012-12-08 - Edmonton, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
And this isn't even the prettiest side
The restored historic Metcalfe County Courthouse is situated in the middle of a parklike campus in the center of Downtown Edmonton. The photo is from the back side, with a peek on the right toward the new Metcalfe Judicial Center, on the one time site of Polson-Van Zant Hardware. Benches on the campus are sufficient for almost every day, and broad sidewalks make cuts through, around, and across safe and easy. Because of strategic stops at all but one entrances to the Square, speed is rarely an issue for pedestrians anywhere. We're hoping to have a photo from the other side - the prettier one with the entrance to the meeting room and the back lit bell, later this season, hoping that someone will send one soon. - EW
