Exterior colors chosen for Adair County Primary Center

2012-11-16 - 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Gabriel Jones, Architect with Sherman, Carter Barnhart Architects, Lexington, KY, presented suggested choices for color patterns for the new Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY. The scheme second from top, with a slate gray roof, was chosen by board consensus. Mr. Jones said that while a lighter color roof can be more energy efficient, the difference will be small with the super thick insulation in the roof. He also said that the color chosen is better for masking discoloration than would be a pure white or pure black roof. The presentation was made during the Thursday, November 16, 2012 regular session of the Adair County School Board.
