Confrontation: Paul Reynolds, 911 Board Member Harrison Moss

2012-11-14 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Paul Reynolds,
standing and Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss, seated, right exchanged differences over the protocol followed by law enforcement and Adair 911 in situations involving vehicles towed in criminal situations. Others seen, Clockwise from front, Adair County Jailer Rick Wilson with back to camera; Adair 911 Mapping and Addressing Coordinator Justin Bailey's back; and barely seen, Magistrate Sammy Baker (District 3) - green shirt; and Magistrate Daryl Flatt (District 2), in formal attire. Magistrate Flatt asked if procedures were properly followed in Reynolds' request for a hearing, and Judge Melton said that she will follow up with an inquiry with Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross, who Reynolds' said took Reynolds' and Ernie Harper off the call rotation list for "harassment." Reynolds contends he only asked for a hearing. Judge Melton and Emergency Management Director and 911 Chief Greg Thomas said that much of the circumstance surrounding the differences have to do with a need to update Policies and Procedures following the transfer of oversight for 911 from Fiscal Court to a three member 911 Board which now includes Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross as chair; Sheriff Moss, and Emergency Medical Services Director Tony Bragg.
