Fireman's Quilt will be given away at Christmas in Columbia

A keepsake Firefighter's Quilt is on display at the Adair County Fire Department Pancake Breakfast this morning, 6am-12pm noon CT, Saturday, November 10, 2012. Robin Lewis left designed the nine-block quilt and her mother Patty Bunch, hand embroidered it. The firemen are selling tickets on the quilt $5 each or five for $20 on the quilt, which will be given away at Christmas in Columbia, Saturday, December 1, 2012, with plans now to have the drawing at the Holloway Wellness Center, 299 Williams Street, Columbia, KY, after Santa Claus pays a visit. The exact time will be known after Santa announces his itinerary. Brandon Lewis, right, Robin's husband, is the 2013 Crusade for Children chairman. Donations to the 2013 Crusade can be given to any fireman, may be dropped in the fire dues box at the fire station, 200 Merchant Street, or mail to: Adair Fire Department Crusade for Children, c/o Adair County Fire Department, PO Box 96, Columbia, KY. Donations can also be made by PayPal, with payment designated for "Crusade." All proceeds from the Quilt Raffle go to the Crusade. The quilt was donated by Robin Lewis and her mother, Patty Bunch.
