Adair School Board holds brief special meeting

The Adair County Board of Education held a 15 minute Special Called Meeting at 9amCT, this morning, Friday, November 2, 2012, and authorized the a charter bus trip for the Adair County Football Team's trip to the Class 3A Football playoffs at Paducah Tilghman, accepted the low bid of Little Caesar for pizza contract for the schools' food service for the 2012-13, and authorized a $26,900 purchase of Venmar wheels/cassettes to correct a problem with the HVAC system, (inside; the locally handled geo-thermal system, outside, has met the highest expectations), which Mitchell Bault, the maintenance department's licensed HVAC/Electrician said would save money in the long run. All board members were present. From left Members Mike Harris (Div. 5), and Marsha Walker (Div. 2); Superintendent Alan W. Reed; Board Chairman Floyd Burton (Div. 4); and Member Joseph Payne (Div. 3). The fifth seat, Division 1, is open since the resignation of Rebecca Turner.
