Scenic Adair Co., KY: Gradyville Baptist, the valley and hills

2012-10-29 - Big Creek Valley, Gradyville, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. The Gradyville Baptist Church the white structure on the left, is one of the most remembered sights in Adair County. It's nestled beside Big Creek, the usually placid stream whose most violent moment caused the greatest natural disaster in Adair County history, in terms of lives, on June 7, 1907. At that time, most of the homes and many of the businesses were in the flood path. Now, beautiful new residences are along the hill tops. This photo is from the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.
