2012-10-11 - 1535 Bull Run Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Barbara Armitage. Frost on the Elephant For about a week now we've dodged the frost up here at Tucker's Station. We're about 6 days early this year - our average first frost here on the hill is October 17. Just a note - I don't dig these mammoth Elephant Ears I let them winter outside. They are on a protected side of the house and they come back every year - bigger than ever! - Barbara Armitage
