Ellen Zornes speaks on French Art Scroll on Courthouse basket

2012-10-10 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. Adair Heritage Association President Ellen Zornes read from a booklet prepared by Adair County Library Director Lee Ann Jessie at the Tuesday, October 9, 2012 meeting of Adair Fiscal Court. She said that the scrolls on the basket atop the historic Adair County Courthouse were very common in architecture during the period, and that the basket was installed under the supervision of very stalwart Christian, one of the longest serving Magistrates in the History of Adair County, Mr. John Eubank. She asked that the scrolls be left as they are at present.
