Bright clean white punctuates Adair Schools campus

2012-09-26 - 350 Gen. John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The latest building to get new paint this fall on the Adair County School District Campus is the Maintenance Building at 350 Gen. John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY, dead center in the photo above. The building - actually two buildings connected - will get new lettering "Maintenance Building" and large street number soon. The thematic painting or white steel cladding of most non-academic buildings in white with blue trim is carried out on the building beyond and at left, the old shop building, now a Maintenance Storage Building, and at right, at the J.T. Coomer Bus Garage, at right of the Maintenance Building. The roof of the maintenance building is yet to be painted blue to match the storage building. The onion shaped Columbia/Adair Utilities District water tower in the background is on Bomar Heights. -CM
