A House for Sally Hall & Family at Fry, KY: Side view

2012-09-23 - Fry, Green Co., KY - Photo by Larry Smith. The Quick Build House, started at day break Saturday morning, September 22, 2012 looked like this in the early afternoon. The little white building on the left is historic. It's the old Fry Post office, painted white and preserved as a storage building for Susan Hall & Family. We had continuous calls to radio station FM 92.7 FM, the WAVE, about its progress all during the day. It was so fascinating I couldn't help but drive out and see it, and even I made one loop when I turned left onto Milltown Church Road instead of going straight ahead, it was more than worth it. If I'd never found the house the trip would have been worth it. The highway along the ridgetop going to Fry is fabulous. But then, once on the scene and seeing God's Amazing Grace at work - as Fran Neat of Mary's House puts it - at work and spreading like wildfire, it was hard to hold back the tears of joy for knowing what wonderful Christian people we have as neighbors. - Larry Smith, 92.7 FM, the WAVE.
