More road name changes in Sparksville area

2012-09-21 - South End, Wheeler Hill Road - Photo by Ed Waggener. This is the South End of Wheeler Hill Road which used to be Burkesville Road, looking across what is now Burkesville Road, to a road on south which used to be Burkesville Road and is now, for the nonce, Old Sparksville Loop, but, since the state didn't make it a loop - it deadends on each end - a hearing will be held to come up with new names for what is now old Sparksville's legacy main street: Hearing: Road name change roads left from South 61 ProjectThere will be a public hearing for road name changes on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6pmCT in the 911 Conference Room, 107 N High Street, Columbia, KY. These two roads are left from the South 61 Road Project. There have already been hearings and naming of this area as Old Sparksville Rd; however the way the road has been cut by Department of Transportation it will have to be changed to reflect two separate roads. For additional information and copy of said map please contact Justin Bailey, 911 Mapping and Address Coordinator, Phone: 270-384- 4760, or email: adair911center@yahoo.com.
