Scenic Adair Co., KY: Through Wheeler Hill Pass to Chattanooga 2012-09-06 - Below Anioch, Adair Co., KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The road fairly beckons a trip south using the Chattanooga Highway for travel through America's most beautiful country side. This scene is looking south up the first stage of Wheeler Hill Pass on new KY 61. Incredible as it seems, it wasn't the scene which caught my eye. Even prettier is a Queen Anne's Lace, and fall yellow flowers in a draw leading to a lone pine on a Hillside, just a few yards north of here (same pull off). But using every landscape technique Evan and Pen have taught me, I couldn't do the 80% of justice to the scene to qualify it as, at least, a concept picture.
