Sparky's Concert tickets and raffle tickets for a special quilt are on sale this morning near the Fountain Plaza on the Square in Downtown Columbia today, a part of the Buy, Sell, Swap, & Trade event, a longtime Columbia Labor Day tradition. At the booth this morning were, from left Rita, Grayson, and Chris Bragg (standing), and Helen and Charles Sparks, mother and father of Sparky - Charles Victor Sparks; and seated, Brandon Lewis, chairman of the Columbia/Adair County Fire Department Crusade for Children, who was busy filling out another ticket for the drawing. The Buy, Sell, Swap & Trade event continues though 4pmCT, today, Monday, September 3, 2012. Booths ring the Square this morning, with plenty of Downtown Parking available just off the Square as most businesses, banks, offices, and government agencies closed today.
