First at the Ham Radio Field Day at the Breeding Area Fire Department Ham Radio Field Day were, from left Alex Burkett, Breeding, KY; Tim Frey, Breeding, KY; Robert Roeder, Jamestown, KY; Roger Shepard, Jamestown, KY; and Don Munsey and his wife Wanda Munsey of Ingle, Pulaski County, KY. The Field Day started at 12pm noon and continues throughout a 24 hour period. A total of about 50 Ham Operators and 50 visitors were expected to attend, including three Boy Scout Troops from Jamestown and Russell Springs, KY. The public is welcome to attend to learn more about being amateur radio operators and about the critical role the radio operators can play in a time of emergency when other lines of communication are unavailable.
