This message of love and devotion written on the Trabue House steps is all that remains of a recent wedding held in the Julia Miller Horton Memorial Rose Garden. Although it was meant for two unknown lovers the ladies of the Adair County Garden Club who maintain the gardens at the Trabue House find it comforting. Keeping the roses blooming through the blistering heat of our Kentucky summer is no easy task. Committed volunteers from the ACGC are hard at work every Tuesday morning making sure that the gardens are flourishing. If you are interested in holding your event at the Trabue House contact the Columbia Mayor's Office at 270-384-6183. -Barbara Armitage
