Business News: Things That Go Bang

2012-06-17 - 2373 Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Ken Mooney,
owner of Things That Go Bang, in the big tent next in the northside parking lot of Adair Gun & Pawn on Campbellsville Road, next to Betty's OK Country Cooking, Columbia, KY, shows just a few of the permits and licenses needed to sell fireworks. He's a commercial pilot, so he's used to red tape, and has found there's lots in this business, too. He got into the business after years of using fireworks to entertain at parties at his farm north of the Pelham Branch Road, Cane Valley Mill Crossroads. He's planning another this year, a few days before the Fourth of July. Things That Go Bang opened June 10, and will be open every day, through July 4th, from 10am until dark with a big line of heavily discounted fireworks.
