Greenbriar Pest Control Service makes house call

2012-05-30 - Greenbriar Ridge Road, between Breeding, Adair County, KY, and Bakerton, Cumberland County, KY - Photo by Kay Haupt.
Naturalist Kay Haupt captured this picture of her free rodent control service quietly at work making its living. She didn't tape the animal for length, nor did she utilize the Billy Joe Fudge telemetric method, but this rat snake seems, at first glance to be worthy of a nomination for the World Record Book of Guinnesses. It would appear to be the longest one we've seen. Kay Haupt just gives the snake ground: It goes on with its rat killing, she goes on with bird watching, flower garden, and enjoying the paradise on earth she so loves in Adair County, KY.
