Dr.Ted and Sherri Taylor Outdoor Classroom: Dr. Randy Davenport, former CU president, at right, and Henry Hunter Durham who gave 18-years service as a member of the CU Board of Trustees from his Columbia Baptist Church, shared many memories at the outdoor classroom dedication. It was recalled that Durham's uncle Wash Tucker donated the money to pay the payroll for a year to tide the school over from one year to the next. That prompted Dr. Davenport's memory of George Ransdell putting CU on his company's payroll when he served as a Trustee. Durham thought he might just be the only person alive who has known every CU president from Dr. John Mark Carter (1948-1968) to the current President Michael V.
