Saturday morning excitement: Downtown Columbia, KY

There more excitement than early morning visitors to Downtown Columbia, KY, on Saturday morning, March 24, 2012, when the 4-door Toyota Camry crashed into the front door of the Columbiana/Russell & Co. Building at the corner of the Public Square and Jamestown Street, at around 6:45amCT. The photo was taken after the driver had been taken from the scene by Adair County EMS. The Columbia Police Department investigated the incident, and was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Sheriff's Department and Adair County Search and Rescue Team. In the center is SAR member Roger Thurman, on the right, Brandon Willis. Far left is Donnie Wall, Wall's Towing Service. Note also that the airbag has deployed. The door was boarded a little later Saturday morning.
