Scenic Marion Co., KY: Beautiful home with keyhole window 2012-03-21 - Lebanon, Marion Co., KY - Photo by Larry Smith. Larry Smith sent this photograph from a recent visit to Lebanon, KY. It is an example of just one facet of a Kentucky community which seems to have it all right: As modern as any in America, but one which has set an example of preservation and progress thriving, side by side. "Look at the 'keyhole' window," Larry Smith wrote with the submission last night. And added, "Lebanon has many beautiful old homes..." He's right of course. He's already at the radio station, The WAVE, 92.7 FM, and on the air. As soon as we're sure he's fully awake and not on auto-pilot, we'll try to get him to share more about the home. And a note: You probably know it already - Lebanon/Marion County, is a great showcase community - a lab town for other Kentucky community leaders to visit, and one of the generous with sharing 'how they did it.' " It's such a short distance away from Downtown Columbia, KY. We recommend it for a noon time day trip and a walk around any block in Lebanon, or an extended vacation.
