Scenic Adair Co., KY: Plum Point Baptist Church

2012-03-16 - 6107 Knifley RD, Columbia, KY - Photo by Emily Klingberg. The Artistry of Emily Klingberg quite magically draws out so much of what makes this little country church in Adair County so endearing, although it's not just a pretty place. Pound for pound, it packs a wallop, a huge impact for good through its social innovations, services, and and music traditions. Plum Point Baptist Church draws regular congregants from the nearby communities of Knifley (one of the counties larger communities without a United Methodist OR Southern Baptist Church), from as far away as south of Columbia and Roley in Adair County, with faithful members attending every week from as far away as Hardin County. Bro. Lewis Haynes is the pastor.
