The View from Richard Smith Family Footbridge

It a peaceful view upstream from the Richard Smith Family Footbridge, right now, but later, the spring rains can turn the little branch - which joins mighty Russell Creek just a few yards down - into be a deadly torrent. The stream occasionally floods Pelham Branch Road, the road above. David and Margaret Smith Harden and their grandson Blaine recently rebuilt the footbridge from which the photo was taken.
