Long Hunters Re-Enactors

2011-12-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Lila Ford. Last night the Long Hunter's Re-enactors out-did themselves with another great performance for a crowd of approximately 35 in attendance at the annual get together of the Adair County Genealogical Society and the Adair County Public Library. Barry Jones told the story of Nathan Montgomery, Sr. Ken Hill with son Jake Hill told the story of Colonel William Casey and son Green Casey. Garry Pike told the story of Nathan Montgomery, Jr. that led into the performance of the Pelham Branch Story with performances of Kenneth Bennett as Cpt. John Butler, Ken Hill as Colonel William Casey, Richard Phelps as Nathan Montgomery, Tom Gentry as a witness to the skirmish meeting the Pelham Brothers portrayed by Barry Jones and Tommy Gentry. The Adair County Genealogical Society and the Adair County Public Library would like to thank the performers for another awesome performance. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance. --Lila Ford
