Mr. Peter Cheng: Sharing a dream for Columbia

Peter Cheng whose Tray's Garden Chinese restaurant is one of Columbia/Adair County's oldest, will open his third Columbia/Adair County restaurant on New Year's Day. It's part of a dream he has for Columbia, and part of his own, one-man Board of Trade effort to make a meaningful contribution to life in Columbia. Basically, he wants to make a great college town an ideal college town, a place where, on first sight, parents of prospective Lindsey Wilson College students will feel totally comfortable leaving their children in the community's care. He thinks that dream starts one property at a time, transforming vacant business locations into economic and cultural contributors. -EW
