Favorite Old Photo: Early Adair County Courthouse

2011-11-23 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo from the collection of Larry Smith.
Those of you who remember Larry Smith, - who has been high hatting us lately, giving us the big egg - will be happy to see that he has fully redeemed himself with the submission of this classic Adair County Courthouse photograph. The caption is in progress. We need help. Our experts can only recognize Robert's Bank, on the right; the courthouse itself, and where Photo Video now is, but was then just a white washed tree on an grassy lot. The arch by the bank appears to be the Rialto Theatre. Please send help by calling 270-250-2730 or 384-3979 or use any Contact/Submit button. Contact Larry Smith at the WAVE WHVE radio 92.7 FM, this morning, at 270-384-7979. Tell him he is forgiven for high hatting CM, but not to let it happen again or he can be reported to Shoreline CEO Mike Harris; Alan W. Reed, who taught him all he knows; or even higher, his neighbor Martha Berry. -EW
