Treats on the Town: The Cinderella Slipper

2011-11-02 - Receptacle, Burkesville and Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
Sometimes the smallest things are indicators that there's a much bigger story. I couldn't help but notice this Cinderella slipper after the ball - rather the Treats on the Town - was over. It was left by one of what seemed like hundreds of Little Princesses in our town on Monday night for Treats on the Town. They were all so adorable! I just wonder what there is to the rest of the story. And, of course this grandmother doesn't see every shining princess and think immediately of her own little princess, and the new one coming soon. Not. And one more comment: It was an incredible evening. A time when Pride in Columbia, soared in all of us. What a Wonderful Town. Thanks to the Chamber and to Debbie Selby and everyone responsible for this occasion. - LINDA.
