Favorite Old Photo: Columbia, KY crowd, 1964

2011-10-14 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo from the Tiffany and Eddie Kessler Collection.
Huge gathering on Columbia Square in 1964 "Here is an old photo Eddie wanted me to send. It is so neat. It's around 1964 and it's some kind celebration on the downtown square - Eddie said this crowd rivaled the Joe Diffie crowd last weekend during Downtown Days. It came from Morrison Studios. You are welcome to publish it when you need a filler photo. Thanks!" - TIFFANY HADLEY KESSLER. Note: Thanks for the wonderful old photo, which has what appears to be a picture of a Dairy Days celebration. There are, of course, classic businesses shown, starting in the upper left, clockwise, with the Hotel Miller where the Adair Annex is today, a much different remaining 400 quadrant set of buildings, and the Corner Drug where the Flower Garden is today. Ben Franklin stood where Barger Insurance Agency and the Edward D. Jones office is today, in 2011. Comments on the photo are welcome to preferably using the Comments button with this photo. -EW
