Kentucky Color: Two Miles of Sinkhole

Billy Joe Fudge writes: This view is looking from the Northern rim of Adair County's Largest Sinkhole, more than two miles to the Southern rim. Near the center of the photo between the wires, Hwy 704 can be seen climbing up and out of the sinkhole plain. To the left, on top of the wires and on the horizon the Outback-style home of Adair County inventor, Rollen Coomer can be seen. As to a tour of this great and massive geological structure, we should schedule this excursion after chiggers have gone dormant.
