New sign honors Community Benefactor, Jim Blair

JIM BLAIR, third from left, above a major Columbia/Adair County philanthropist, and the man whose generosity made the acquisition of the former Christian Life Center for use as a city/county recreation and senior citizens center, was honored Tuesday afternoon, September 20, 2011, at the unveiling of the sign renaming the center "The Jim Blair Community Recreation Center." Others in the group are C/AC Parks & Recreation Board Member Tommy Steele, Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton, (Blair), Board Member Donna Shirley, and Krystal Cundiff, the director of the Jim Blair Community Recreation Center.
