The late Bill Beard advising one-time insurance executive 2011-09-13 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo picture through the mail. Perhaps CM readers can help us with more on this delightful old photo from the Last Century, taken we suspect in an upstairs office in Downtown Columbia. The gentleman in the formal dress has been identified for us as the late Bill Beard. The one as casually dressed as a 2011 banker is NOT Joe D. Richards, as one would suspect on a first look; rather it appears to be one of the Johnny/Larry twins - Johnny Vaughn or Larry Legg. CM received the letter through the mail, with but scant forensic evidence. Perhaps the moustarche, the spectacles, and the fashionable plaid britches the boy on the left is wearing would distinguish between the twins. Readers help on 1) Where the picture was taken, 2) about ca when, 3) the name of the photographer, and 4) the location, or any other notes, it would be appreciated. If it is in fact, Johnny Vaughn, readers should know that he is now the Dean of the Adair County Assimilation Academy and a highly respected member of the esteemed, very exclusive Adair County Blue Ribbon Bear Board, (as is his counterpart, Larry Legg), who, at last report had married well and is settled down, while Vaughn remains Adair County's No. 1 top most elusive, still eligible single. -EW Permalink | Comments?
