Lindsey Wilson receives flag which flew over U.S. Capitol

2011-08-12 - Begley Chapel Lawn, Columbia, KY - Photo photo courtesy Lindsey Wilson College. Sue Stivers,, center, presents Lindsey Wilson College President William T. Luckey Jr., left, and LWC football coach Chris Oliver on Thursday with a flag that was flown on August24, 2010, over the U.S. Capitol. Stivers presented the flag to Luckey and Oliver on behalf of U.S. Rep Ed Whitfield, who secured the flag for the college in honor of its first football game in 75 years, which was played on September 4, 2010. LWC football opens its 2011 season on September 3, 2011, at Blue Raider Stadium, 820 Hanley Lane. Stivers is with the local chamber and is on the Board of Trustees at Lindsey Wilson College.
