Historic Hart Co., KY: Twin City Drive-in/Larry Smith

2011-08-04 - Horse Cave, KY - Photo from Larry Smith photo collections.
Twin City Drive-In Theatre in Horse Cave KY. "This photo dates back to 1967. Dart Container Corporation now resides on the property on historic 31-w in Hart County, KY," writes Larry Smith, Operations Manager, FM 99.9, The Big Dawg, Campbellsville, KY. The drive-in was one of the grandest in Kentucky in its day. The drive had 400 parking spaces - with 4 per car, the theatre could have handled 1,600 at a time. It was located north of Cave City, south of Horse Cave. Comments are welcome, including information on the admissions charges: Per car - pack 'em and stack 'em, or per individual only. Contact/Submit at ColumbiaMagazine.com or Larry Smith at (270) 465-1652 at the Big Dawg.
