Portraits, ACHS Class of 1956: Lewis Garrison

2011-05-29 - Cranmer Dining Center, 430 Helen Flatt DR, Columbia, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
Lewis Garrison: "Everyone knows Lewis Garrison as a major South Central business leader. Everyone in the Class of 1956 appreciate the leadership he gave to getting the reunion together," photographer Shamarie Claiborne writes, "and I think everyone knows what a good, special person he is. I just hope everyone sees in this portrait what I remember: The special role he's played in my life. When a huge rock was blocking construction of our house in The Holler, Lewis worked his magic - with dynamite. A little while, a few blasts, and the site for our wonderful home was ready for construction. Then, again, I guess I'm not the only person who remembers that special thing Lewis Garrison has done for them. I think everyone has that unforgettable memory of the time he was there to help. Thanks, Mr. Garrison, for making Adair County such a wonderful place to live." -Shamarie Claiborne
