Touching the name of William Coy Turner

2011-05-10 - The Center for Rural Development, 2292 S. Highway 27, Somerset, KY - Photo by Sharon Dodson.
The Wall That Heals has sentimental and emotional ties for those who cannot help but to reach out and touch the names of the more than 58,000 military service personnel who were killed or reported missing in action during the war. Black Lion Joe Hare, Vietnam Veteran from Columbia, KY, is touching the name of William Coy Turner, a fellow Adair Countian from Chance, KY, who was killed in action 17 May 1967. Turner was a member of the 173 Airborne Brigade. The photo was taken following opening ceremonies for The Wall That Heals, the mobile Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum, on Monday, May 9, 2011, on the grounds of The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY.
