1st Community Thanksgiving 2010: Ann and Owen

2010-11-25 - Photo by Sally Kemp. Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY
Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton, with honored guest Owen Pollard. When this photo was taken, most of the tables were full for today's Community Thanksgiving. The event is turning out to be everything it's organizers wanted it to be, Sally Kemp said. "The meal was paid for before today," she said. "This is a generous community. We received over $1,000 on Monday to keep the program going," she said. She added, "We weren't going to say anything about donations today," she said, "but after so many people asked us, we have made a donations can available. But I want to stress that that isn't what today is about. Today is bringing people together to enjoy good food, good friends, good conversation."
