Veterans Day 2010: Honoring brothers in military

2010-11-11 - Photo by Patty Jones, Principal, CWC. 220 Gen. John Adair DR, Columbia, KY
Veterans Day at Col. Wm. Casey. This is a picture of William Turner, a first grader, and Keitha Lee, a kindergarten student at Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School. On Thursday, Veteran's Day, they came dressed to honor their brothers who are serving in the military. William's brother, Zachary Janes, is stationed in Iraq with the Army and Keitha's brother, Jordan Baker, is a member of the Air Force. These two led the student body in the pledge and remained at attention while the service song of each military branch was played during the school's morning assembly program. The students and staff of Col. Wm. Casey join with William and Keitha on this Veteran's Day in thanking all the men and women who protect and defend our country. -Patty Jones, Principal, Colonel Wm. Casey School, 220 Gen. John Adair DR, Columbia, KY
