Columbia, KY To the citizens of Columbia, Kentucky I want to thank everyone who supported me in my campaign for Mayor of Columbia. So many of you helped. I am overwhelmed at the support you have given me. There were 11 great candidates for City Council. I would have been happy to serve with any of them. My congratulations to the six winners. I look forward to working with you. To my opponent, I wish to say that I appreciate the very high standards you held to in your campaign. I hope you will continue to lend your leadership to the community, as you have done so ably in the past. Now the hard work begins. Working together, we can make Columbia City government better. We can improve the quality of life. We can develop downtown. We can bring jobs to Adair County. I will make a special effort to work with the County Judge Executive, the Columbia-Adair County Economic Develipment Authority, business leaders and interested citizens to help get more jobs in Columbia. Many of you told me that having to leave Adair County each day to work was a major concern. We will explore every path to finding jobs for everyone who wants to work right here in Columbia. We do have some big problems. But we have great opportunities, as well.
