Doris Critz: Blooddraw may be a record this year

2010-10-02 - Photo by Ed Waggener. 901 Westlake DR, Columbia, KY
Doris Critz, Directory of Laboratory Services at Westlake Regional Hospital, thought that there might be another record number of blooddraws this year for the fair. Before this morning there were approximatley 3,000 who had taken advantage of the $12 special on blood work. "We could have as many as 500-600 today," Critz said, "which would be the most ever." In addition, at the Westlake Jane Todd Crawford Health Fair in Greensburg, KY, there were 1136 draws; and at Casey County Hospital Health Fair, the WRH lab drew 1931 blood samples, putting the total at all WRH Health Fairs at well over 6,000. There were steady lines this morning, with several stations operating, allowing patients very fast service.
