2010-09-06 - Photo by Ed Waggener. Downtown Columbia, KY
At 6amCT this Labor Day morning, September 6, 2010 booths were already being readied for the big Buy, Sell, Swap, and Trade Day, one of Adair County's major homecoming events. Vendors are expected for all 33 booths. Greensburg Street, above is the only entrance to the Square blocked off today. The event will have four extra food vendors, in addition to Daniel's Mexican Restaurant and Moore's Pool Room. Booth numbers start at No. One on the Corner of Greensburg ST and Public Square, in the 100 Quadrant, circle the Square in Counterclockwise pattern through the 200 Quadrant, the 300, and the 400 Quadrant with completion of the loop on the Greensburg ST BSST cul-de-sac. Breakfast is ready now, at the Jones Chapel booths, No. 15 and 16, in the 300 section of the Square. In past years, the booth has sold out by noon, but Terry Partin of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church said they've prepared for much bigger crowds today.
