Scenic Adair Co., KY: House! House! A favorite place

2010-08-27 - Photo by Linda Waggener. 2339 Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KYWhen Molly came to Adair County to visit Grandmother Mary Keltner of Gradyville, KY, one of the tot's favorite places was the playhouse at Betty Ollestad's, next to Betty's OK Country Cooking, 2339 Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY. She didn't want to leave the first time she was there, and afterward, each time she rode up the hill on KY 55 near Betty's, she would say, "House! House!," to let everybody know priorities. When Molly went back to the airport, with her Mom Natasha, the trip was via KY 61 and Greensburg. They didn't dare try to go by Campbellsville RD. "If we had," Grandmother Mary said, "we'd never have gotten past the House! House!" In case one wonders about the the child being alone, an admiring Grandmother Mary Keltner is at far right. And, by the way, grown-ups love the house, too. It's big enough for them to stand, inside.-Linda Waggener
